Tanner Jones

Software Developer

About Me

I'm a software developer from Mississippi, and graduate of Base Camp Coding Academy. Ever since I was young I was fascinated with computers and when coding was first introduced to me I would spend days working on simple projects with beginner block code. Though I stopped that during High School, Base Camp reignited my interest in coding and allowed me to learn more varied and advanced languages. I enjoy both the logical and creative aspect of code and there is nothing more satisfying than seeing things come together as intended. I am also a graduate of Itawamba Community College, with an Associate of Arts.

Projects

Hangman

Hangman was my first project created in Python with some of my peers at Base Camp. We decided to recreate Hangman with two difficulties, a word bank which picks a category and an accompanying word, and text art for the gallows.

Quizzically

Quizzically was my first project created with Django and utilizes models to store a bank of questions and allows users to play either by themselves, or in a team setup.

You Plan-it

You Plan-it was a group project I worked on in Django which allows users to create events and add people to the events. The events also had individual chat rooms which would allow users to communicate.
